I don’t know why my license is suspended in Louisiana
My name is Heather Ford, and I am a traffic attorney out of New Orleans, also known as The Traffic Ticket Lady. Sometimes I get calls from clients and they say, “I don’t know why my license is suspended in Louisiana.” They know they received a ticket but don’t know where or what to do with it. The traffic courts and clerks office offer directions on how to handle tickets, but the system an often be overwhelming while you are handling your day to day life. And that’s understandable and one reason why I’m here to help.
First step is to go to www.expresslane.org if you are a Louisiana resident. You can enter your license number and last four digits of your social security number. Once in the system, you can check two places for flags on your record.
Busted for a Speeding Ticket Or Moving Violation in NOLA?
We Can Help — Even If You Live Out of State.
Option 1 – Driver reinstatement inquiry. Louisiana can provide you some information about citations or other reasons why your license is flagged. They do a good job keeping records but it’s not perfect so be aware if it shows up empty, there’s something else to look into.
Option 2 – Order an official driving record. When you order an official driving record, you will receive paperwork of what is exactly on your record. It costs $16 to order this record.
Either option is a great way to investigate your license status with the state of Louisiana. If you don’t know why your license is suspended in Louisiana or you receive a suspension of your license in the mail, shoot me a text. I’m happy to give you my thoughts with a free consultation and if you decide to hire, I will try to get that ticket reduced or dismissed and off your record.
The Law Office of Heather C. Ford is here to help New Orleans keep their driving records clean!
