Have a suspended license because you missed your court date?
The solution is to go get a new court date.
If your license has been suspended for a traffic ticket in Louisiana, you need a new court date or paid receipt showing your ticket is dismissed. You will get either of these pieces of paperwork from the clerk.
Maybe you live out of state, you can’t get a work- you can hire an attorney to appear at court on your behalf.
One of the hardest parts about going to traffic court is fitting it in your schedule. A traffic ticket attorney can get you that court date and send the paperwork over to you. Once you get that paperwork with the proof of the new court date, call the DMV on their Baton Rouge number and they’ll have you work with somebody to email that proof for that new court date. At that point the flag on your record is satisfied. You can call and pay over the phone the $100 reinstatement fee and your license will be reinstated. It’s fairly easy procedure to get your drivers license unsuspended. You just have to figure out what’s the best way to get the court date.
